Alison R. Smith has joined the Rethink Capital Partner’s team to help grow the firm. Alison has over 15 years of experience in working with families and foundations. In 2017, Alison entered the impact investing space and joined Cornerstone Capital Group as the Head of Business Development. Cornerstone is a registered investment advisor, that serves clients who want their investments to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive world without sacrificing financial performance.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, Alison worked at TIGER 21, an investment think-tank that focuses on learning about and reflecting upon issues pertaining to investing, life, and family. TIGER 21 is a community for high-net-worth individuals. Before joining TIGER 21, Alison worked at Marina Maher Communications, where she focused on media and investment relations. Alison also worked at the United Nations Association, where she coordinated and oversaw events across the nation, represented UNA at public speaking events, researched and wrote articles, and managed relationships with partners.
Alison is a graduate from Fordham University Graduate School of Business with an MBA in Finance and Marketing. She earned her BA at Ithaca College. Alison served on the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Advisory Board and regularly gives time as a mentor of a teen mother through the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. Alison and her husband live in New York City with their children and puppy.
